The one Chris gave me is in the forth from last picture in this thread, Its very yellow place in front of the drill base. hc.
Martinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17546424020599831504noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4822996927554425897.post-18124190677857783682013-10-21T14:32:38.312+01:002013-10-21T14:32:38.312+01:00Great job, do you know if there is a chuck guard a...Great job, do you know if there is a chuck guard available for this drill?

Thanks,

JohnJohnnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4822996927554425897.post-90752676292824784972013-03-05T09:39:44.353+00:002013-03-05T09:39:44.353+00:00hi Alan thanks for the comments all are welcome, ...hi Alan thanks for the comments all are welcome, I don't know the number of the Jacobs chuck size.

The shaft does have a taper to it and yes it is a one piece shaft, all i did was to take the old chick off and took it with me to Axminster tools store luckily I'm not to faraway from one to get an exact match for the shaft which is a bog standard 13mm Jacobs chuck, I'm so clad i change the chuck first one i have used a key less chuck is the way to go excellent piece of kit.

Good luck with your search for your drill it will come. when you get one if you nead help please ask.

Just in case your interested I have just launched a brand new woodworking forum its called worldwidewoodworking-com.webs.com feel free to view if you feel it may be of help to you in the future please feel free to register and become a full member it's (free of charge) it will be good to see some new member, a good place to show a tread on a full refurbishment of your new drill haha. When I do eventually win one I too will change the chuck to a twist grip type and was wondering what the Jacobs taper no. the chuck is? as I believe the spindle is a one piece design (no internal morse taper).
Many Thanks
AlanAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03471912336898814281noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4822996927554425897.post-3391449786495021372013-02-20T22:26:30.284+00:002013-02-20T22:26:30.284+00:00hi heather sorry the forum is
